Consecration as Bishop of the Revd Dr Paul Barker

At 10.30 am on Saturday 12 November, Archbishop Dr Philip Freier, assisted by Archbishops and Bishops from Australia and South East Asia will ordain the Revd Dr Paul Barker a Bishop in the Church of God. All are welcome to join us for this occasion. Those  unable to be part of the ceremony at St Paul’s may watch the live-stream here from 10.20am (AEST) on Saturday 12 November.

The Revd Dr Paul Barker has served for the past seven years in Asia, supported by CMS, in Bible teaching in various Asian countries, including as Visiting Scholar at Seminari Theoloji Malaysia and Adjunct Lecturer at Myanmar Evangelical Graduate School of Theology. He has also been Asian Regional Coordinator for Langham Preaching and Langham Scholar Care, training preachers in the region. Previously he was Vicar of Holy Trinity Doncaster (1996-2009) and Archdeacon of Box Hill (2001-2009). Paul was a Visiting Lecturer at Ridley College Melbourne for nearly twenty years. His PhD from the University of Bristol (1996) was published as The Triumph of Grace in Deuteronomy.
