Raising funds for Monash Children’s Hospital
St Paul’s Cathedral will once again transform into a winter celebration this July, as Winterfest returns for its second year from 5 to 12 July.
The event follows a hugely successful debut in 2025, which drew up to 5,000 visitors a day. This year, the Cathedral has partnered with Monash Children’s Hospital, with all fundraising going towards a specialised 3D printer used to produce components for children’s surgical procedures.
The festival’s installations are inspired by the simple joys of childhood that many young hospital patients are temporarily unable to experience. Visitors will walk through immersive displays featuring flowers, butterflies and open skies — designed to evoke a sense of freedom and wonder, while drawing attention to the experiences of children facing long hospital stays.
Alongside the installations, the Cathedral will host prayer and candle-lighting stations throughout the festival, giving visitors a space for quiet reflection. Donation towers will also be set up for those wishing to contribute directly to the Monash Children’s Hospital campaign.
A much-loved feature of Winterfest is the indoor market, showcasing a carefully curated selection of local artisans, handcrafted products, unique gifts and hidden treasures. Adding to the atmosphere, young musicians will perform live throughout the market on Friday and Saturday, bringing an extra touch of warmth and community spirit to the event.
Every purchase helps support the cause, with 10% of all market sales being added directly to the fundraising total for Monash Children’s Hospital.

More Than a Festival
Winterfest is more than a market, an exhibition or a fundraising campaign. It is an invitation to come together as a community, celebrate the spirit of generosity and help bring hope to children and families facing difficult circumstances.
