Reconciliation Evensong & Exhibition Launch

As Australians, we are all here, woven into this country.
As part of our reconciliation journey, there are truths to tell, stories to celebrate, and relationships to grow.
Reconciliation is at the heart of our nations’ future.
Join us on our nation’s reconciliation journey.

Reconciliation Australia

To mark Reconciliation Week, a special Evensong will be held at St Paul’s Cathedral this Friday, 3 June at 5.10pm, at which the guest president and preacher will be Indigenous Anglican priest, the Revd Shannon Smith. The service will be followed by a reception for the launch of The Torch project’s Our Stories art exhibition in our Transept Gallery, where former premier and The Torch board member, the Hon. Jeff Kennett AC, will deliver an address.

The Torch’s  Indigenous Arts in Prisons & Community program seeks to provide a forum for cultural exploration, expression & strengthening for members of the Indigenous community who are either incarcerated or returning to the community after time in prison. The exhibition will hang in the Transept Gallery until the end of NAIDOC Week, in mid-July.

For catering purposes, please RSVP to events@stpaulscathedral.org.au if you wish to attend the reception.
