Since 1993, St Paul’s Cathedral Music Foundation has supported the musical life of St Paul’s Cathedral Melbourne.
Grants fund scholarships that directly benefit the Cathedral’s musicians: organists, Lay Clerks (men’s and women’s voices) and, most importantly, the musical formation and education of our boy and girl choristers. In order to sustain such a significant level of financial commitment, the Foundation fully relies on the support of generous donors.
Donations to the Music Foundation are tax-deductible, and a donation form can be downloaded here.
In 2018, the Music Foundation invited singer and composer Dr Deborah Cheetham AO to become the Patron of the Girls’ Voices, setting an excellent example of professional musicianship for the girls. You can read more about Deborah and her appointment here.
The Lachlan Redd Memorial Scholarship
The Lachlan Redd Memorial Scholarship was established in 2024 to honour the life, ministry, and music of our suborganist Lachlan Redd. Aimed at supporting the development of young organists and church musicians, the scholarship is an appreciation of Lachlan’s legacy and a commitment to nurturing future generations of church musicians.
To contribute to the scholarship, please complete the usual donation form. When returning the form to the office ensure you include a message that you wish your donation to be directed towards the scholarship funds.
If you have any queries, please call the office on 03 9653 4333.
