We offer a relaxed and encouraging atmosphere where people feel safe to have a go and practise speaking English. Classes run each Monday for the school terms, beginning on 2 February 2025.
Every week we have different activities involving speaking in English about a wide range of different topics: everything from places of interest in Melbourne, to finding a job. Our students come from a wide range of countries, ages, social backgrounds, religions and English-speaking abilities. At the end of each session a short 10-minute story from the Christian Bible is told, followed by afternoon tea. Classes are open to anyone over the age of 18 who is looking to improve their English-speaking skills. The class is NOT suitable for people with NO or very little English. Children and teenagers under the age of 18 are not permitted to attend.
Location
Classes will take place in the Cathedral’s Education & Ministry Centre, which can be accessed via Chapter House Lane (entrance at the bottom of the stairs of Chapter House Lane Coffee).
