A once-in-a-generation project to provide net-zero Halo Candelabra for the Cathedral
Our project
Light up St Paul’s is a once-in-a-generation project to provide net-zero Halo Candelabra for the Cathedral. The Heritage Candelabra will both light and heat the Cathedral, using integrated infrared heating elements to provide an energy-efficient source of light and heat for the building.
With the financial year-end fast approaching, this tax-deductible fundraiser is an excellent opportunity to support our project to fill the Cathedral with welcoming warmth. The installation of effective heating to replace the ineffective and outdated radiant heaters will remove the significant climate-based barriers to joining worship. Together with the future solar array will greatly increase the sustainability and environmental responsibility of the Cathedral.
About the Candelabra
State of the art directed heat.
Each of the eight Candelabra will create a 50 square-metre area of warmth. Heritage Victoria approval has been received for what will be Australia’s first use of this ground-breaking technology. Based on existing methods of outdoor heating, now proven in worship spaces across the United Kingdom, the infrared rings use directed heat to ensure that warmth is focussed where it’s needed.

Designed for us.
Designed for use in heritage spaces, the new heaters will be aesthetically sympathetic to our architecture while offering a practical and reliable solution to heating our beautiful worship space. The heraldic symbols of the St Paul’s crest will adorn the outside of the candelabra, making them unique to our cathedral.

Tax deductible donations can be made through the Melbourne Anglican Cultural Organisation, by selecting the “Light up St Paul’s” option, or by calling the Cathedral Office on (03) 9653 4305.

Fill in your details, then click ‘go to payment’. From there you can specify a donation amount and enter your card details.
