Melbourne-born pianist Tyler Zhou studies piano with Australian pianist and academic David Soo. Tyler has received many prizes, including winning the Absolute Award at the Singapore International Music Competition, and first prize in the Dandenong Ranges Bill Borthwick Music Competition and the Melbourne Star International Music Competition. This performance marks Tyler’s recital debut. He will perform works by Mozart, Liszt, Chopin, Bacewicz, and Kapustin.

About our Lunchtime Concert Series:
A series of lunchtime concerts was launched in April 2013 to encourage city workers and others to come into and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the Cathedral during the day. These concerts at 1pm on Wednesdays provide fine music and space for contemplation in the midst of a busy week.
