Italian pianist Ida Pelliccioli studied at the Nice Conservatoire de Région and at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris – Alfred Cortot, in the class of Serguei Markarov, Unesco Artist for Peace. Her program aims to create echoes between the music of Debussy and the music of Jean-Philippe Rameau, which Debussy described as the pinnacle of the French tradition. She will perform Rameau’s Suite in A minor and Debussy’s ‘Hommage à Rameau’.

About our Lunchtime Concert Series:
A series of lunchtime concerts was launched in April 2013 to encourage city workers and others to come into and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the Cathedral during the day. These weekly concerts at 1pm on Wednesdays provide fine music and space for contemplation in the midst of a busy week.
