Concert | Melbourne Symphony Orchestra Academy

Wednesday, February 8 at 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm

MSO Academy featuring Alyse Faith (flute), Emily Beauchamp (violin), Oliver Crofts (clarinet), and Cian Malikides (trombone)

Providing young instrumentalists a vital final bridge to a successful career, the MSO Academy is an exciting opportunity for post-graduate musicians embarking on their career as professional musicians. Joined by musicians of the MSO, the MSO Academy present a beguiling program of Debussy’s Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun, Ravel’s Introduction and Allegro and the unusual combination of trombone and string quartet in Gerald Cohen’s Prelude and Debka.
We hope you can join us! Entry by donation (cash preferred).
About our Lunchtime Concert Series
A series of lunchtime concerts was launched in April 2013 to encourage city workers and others to come into and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the Cathedral during the day. These half-hour concerts at 1pm on Wednesdays provide fine music and space for contemplation in the midst of a busy week.
