Kathy Ma is a Year 12 student at Ivanhoe Girls’ Grammar School, where she currently serves as Music Captain. She studies piano under internationally acclaimed pedagogue Coady Green, and holds both AMusA and LMusA in piano. Kathy’s numerous accolades include 2nd Prize at Beecham’s International Piano Competition (UK). In 2025, she was selected to perform in VCE Top Class Music at the Melbourne Recital Centre. Her program will feature works by Scriabin, Chopin, and Smetana.

About our Lunchtime Concert Series:
A series of lunchtime concerts was launched in April 2013 to encourage city workers and others to come into and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the Cathedral during the day. These weekly concerts at 1pm on Wednesdays provide fine music and space for contemplation in the midst of a busy week.
