Winner of the 2023/24 Ann and Chris Krans Award from the Dandenong Ranges Music Council, Melbourne-born pianist Jade Chen will perform J.S. Bach’s rhapsodic and virtuosic Toccata in C minor, followed by Prokofiev’s dramatic and expressive second sonata. Jade studies piano with David Soo, and in the past year has given recitals at the Austral Salon, the Diamond Creek Concert Series, and the Stretto International Online Festival. 

About our Lunchtime Concert Series
A series of lunchtime concerts was launched in April 2013 to encourage city workers and others to come into and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the Cathedral during the day. These half-hour concerts at 1pm on Wednesdays provide fine music and space for contemplation in the midst of a busy week.
