Isaac Shi studies piano with Dr David Soo and oboe with Anne Gilby. He has won many prizes for both his piano and oboe playing, including the 2025 Musical Society of Victoria’s 12 years and under woodwind prize, and 2nd prize and the Kawai Piano prize at the 2024 UME Piano Competition. He will perform piano works by de Falla and Ginastera, and oboe works by Telemann and Godard.

About our Lunchtime Concert Series:
A series of lunchtime concerts was launched in April 2013 to encourage city workers and others to come into and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the Cathedral during the day. These weekly concerts at 1pm on Wednesdays provide fine music and space for contemplation in the midst of a busy week.
