12-year-old Charlie Wu made his concerto debut in 2024 performing Mendelssohn’s Piano Concerto No. 1 in G minor with the Russian State Academic Symphony Orchestra in Moscow. A Diplomate in the Russian Grand Piano International Competition, as well as 1st Prizewinner in the PolMusicA Polish Music Competition, last year Charlie was also awarded his LMusA Diploma with Distinction. He will perform an exciting program featuring Chopin’s Four Scherzos.

About our Lunchtime Concert Series:
A series of lunchtime concerts was launched in April 2013 to encourage city workers and others to come into and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the Cathedral during the day. These concerts at 1pm on Wednesdays provide fine music and space for contemplation in the midst of a busy week.
