12 year-old Charlie Wu is a scholarship student at Caulfield Grammar School, and studies piano with Glenn Riddle. In June, he won 1st prize in the prestigious Concours International Musicale de Genève in Switzerland, performing Haydn’s Piano Concerto in D major. His concert will feature Liszt/Gounod Waltz from the opera Faust, Liszt/Chopin Mes joies, and Prokofiev Piano Sonata No. 7 in B-flat major.

About our Lunchtime Concert Series:
A series of lunchtime concerts was launched in April 2013 to encourage city workers and others to come into and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the Cathedral during the day. These weekly concerts at 1pm on Wednesdays provide fine music and space for contemplation in the midst of a busy week.
