Catherine Zhu is a Melbourne-born pianist, currently in her second year at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, studying with Glenn Riddle. She is a recent winner of 3MBS ‘The Talent’ radio competition, and has received multiple scholarships from The University of Melbourne. Catherine will present a diverse program of Haydn, Debussy, Scriabin, Vladigerov, and Bacewicz, as well as works written by Australian composers Mirrie Hill and Margaret Sutherland.

About our Lunchtime Concert Series:
A series of lunchtime concerts was launched in April 2013 to encourage city workers and others to come into and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the Cathedral during the day. These concerts at 1pm on Wednesdays provide fine music and space for contemplation in the midst of a busy week.
