An Ecumenical Service of Lament, Repentance and Hope

Pax Christi Victoria, The Victorian Council of Churches and St Paul’s Cathedral invite you to an Ecumenical Service of Lament, Repentance and Hope, held on ANZAC Day 25 April 2024 at 11.00 am, at St Paul’s Cathedral Melbourne.

To lament the violence and destruction of people and communities in Gaza, the West Bank, and Israel, the taking of hostages and brutal killing of children, women and men, the starvation and denial of relief, and the destruction of homes and hospitals.

To repent of the ongoing war and violence in our world and in our hearts.
To pray for those who are suffering from war and terror.
To hear again the promise of God’s gift of peace, given to us in the crucified and risen Lord Jesus Christ.
