Maundy Thursday

6.00pm Choral Eucharist with Washing of Feet
An evocative service remembering the Last Supper at which Jesus washed the feet of his friends, followed by a silent vigil of prayer. Preacher: The Most Revd Dr Philip Freier, Archbishop of Melbourne.

Good Friday

9.00am Choral Liturgy of the Cross and Communion
A solemn telling of the Passion story in music and commemoration of the death of Jesus on the Cross with opportunity for personal prayers under the Cross. Preacher: The Archbishop.

12.30pm-3.00pm Devotions under the Cross
A meditative service of readings, addresses, Passion hymns and prayers, marking the final three hours of Jesus’ life and his death on the Cross. Preacher: The Very Revd Dr Andreas Loewe, Dean.

7.00pm The Crucifixion – John Stainer
A telling of the Passion story through the music of John Stainer, performed by the Cathedral Choir of boys and men. Free admission: a donation of $25 per person will help cover the costs of this Good Friday tradition. Address: The Precentor.

Easter Day

6.00am Easter Vigil with Baptism and Confirmation
A dramatic dawn service from darkness to light, with lighting of the new fire and Easter candle, Baptism and Confirmation and first Eucharist of Easter. Preacher: The Right Revd Alison Taylor.

8.00am BCP Holy Communion Service
Holy Communion according to the Book of Common Prayer 1662 with Easter hymns. Preacher: The Revd Canon Heather Patacca, Precentor.

9.00am Family-style Eucharist
A celebratory Eucharist with Easter hymns, children’s activities and Easter eggs. Preacher: The Dean.

10.30am Choral Eucharist
A festive Choral Eucharist with Blessing of the Easter Garden, led by the Archbishop of Melbourne. Preacher: The Archbishop.

2.00pm 复活节华语圣餐崇拜复活节主日下午二时正
A celebration of the Easter story with communion, led in the Mandarin Language.

6.00pm Choral Evensong
Choral Evensong with Installation of Canons Emeriti. Preacher: The Dean.
