On Thursday 22 September 2022, the Cathedral will be open from 10am – 3pm as we observe the National Day of Mourning for Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
A special service of Holy Communion will take place at 12.15pm, following the National Memorial Service which will be available to watch from 11.00am at The Edge at Federation Square. Visitors to the Cathedral are welcome to light candles and offer prayers at the Prayer Stations located around the Cathedral.
While visiting the Cathedral, you can also view an exhibition of photos and memorabilia recording the Queen’s visits to the Cathedral, and visits from the now King Charles III.
