Vacancy • Leading Musician (Fixed term, 0.2 FTE)

Cathedral Leading Musician – 12 month maternity leave cover contract, August 2021-July 2022 

The Dean and Chapter of St Paul’s Cathedral seek to appoint a Leading Musician to work alongside our choirs, organists, and Director of Music. The successful candidate will be highly proficient in different genres of liturgical music making, and able to perform on a number of instruments, including as a singer. 

During COVID normal times, the Cathedral offers 10 services each week with music, which is provided by a team of staff, choristers, and volunteers who report to the Director of Music. The Leading Musician is part of this team on a fixed term contract, 416 hours per annum, or 0.2FTE. Hours of work are highly flexible, and will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
